OK, I remembered what I was on about with the sticky search now.
When I try to get back to the home page, I click "wiki" at the top.
Because the search text is sticky, it takes me to the topic that I last searched on i.e. I have to clear the search text to get back to the home page.
Hope that makes sense now.
