Usually performed where the common peroneal nerve crosses the neck of the fibula. Useful combined with a tibial nerve block as analgesia for forefoot surgery. Care must be taken not to transfix the nerve against the fibula because damage to the nerve may result in foot-drop. 2 tag(s)
